Routes that depend on your nationality
Some of Estonia’s long-stay routes are open only to citizens of specific countries. Here’s where a Brazil passport stands:
Working Holiday Visa (Australia)
Not open to Brazil passport holders
Australian citizens aged 18-30. Long-stay (D) visa with work rights, valid up to 12 months. Confirmed by Estonian MFA (vm.ee).
Working Holiday Visa (New Zealand)
Not open to Brazil passport holders
New Zealand citizens aged 18-30. Long-stay (D) visa with work rights, valid up to 12 months. Confirmed by Estonian MFA (vm.ee).
Youth Mobility / Youth Exchange Agreement (Canada)
Not open to Brazil passport holders
Canadian citizens aged 18-35. Up to 12 months with work rights; participation under Canada's International Experience Canada (IEC) program. Cannot do two consecutive uninterrupted stays. Confirmed by Estonian MFA (vm.ee) and Estonian Embassy in Ottawa.
Working Holiday Visa (Japan)
Not open to Brazil passport holders
Japanese citizens aged 18-30. Multiple-entry working holiday visa, up to 12 months; applications via Estonian Embassy in Tokyo. Confirmed by Estonian MFA (vm.ee). Secondary sources also assert a South Korea (KR) agreement, but this is NOT confirmed on the official Estonian MFA page, so KR is excluded pending official verification.
Visa-free isn’t insurance-free
Whatever route you take into Estonia, your entry stamp never includes health cover. Many longer-stay visas also require proof of insurance before they’re granted. That part is on you, and it’s what we actually do.
