From 1 Jan 2026 ALL entering foreigners (incl. visa-free tourists) must hold health & accident insurance of at least GEL 30,000 for the full stay. From 1 Mar 2026 paid work for a Georgian employer needs a new work/labour permit (existing workers comply by 1 Jan 2027). The COVID-era 'Remotely from Georgia' nomad programme is largely phased out — most remote workers use the 365-day visa-free stay. Last checked: 2026-06.
