- Valid passport and Belize visa (if applicable); application via the Labour Department. Government fees vary by category, approx. US$150 to US$3,000/year (e.g. professional/technical approx. US$3,000), plus a separate immigration fee on approval (figures vary, verify).

- Minimum retirement income of approx. US$2,000/month (US$24,000/year) from a source outside Belize in an approved currency (USD, GBP, EUR, CAD); recent medical certificate with HIV test. Fees include approx. US$150 program fee, US$1,000 applicant, US$750/dependent (verify).
